When you enter a fine Wisconsin establishment or bar, tailgate party or restaurant and someone is celebrating you can tell they may go all out and order an aber gut (German for Oh Good!). This way you know they are really "cookin with gas now" and they are not just "FAIR-TA-MIDDLIN  ( Not bad or great, just "O.K." ) We drink them plain, and sometimes we drink them flaming . An aber gut is a combination shot of brandy with schnapps on top ( Sometimes it is known as a snow shoe or possibly a snow ball ).
