I have hated our garage floor for years and years.  My husband did the "do it yourself epoxy coating" years ago, and that didn't turn out so well :-).  I called around and checked the Better Business Bureau site of course, and was instantly impressed with Bucky's Executive Flooring.  From the moment I inquired about a free estimate, they were cordial and very responsive.  The salesman was on time and gave me the written estimate within a day.  The office staff was helpful and courteous too.  The work was scheduled within a week, and was completed in less than two days (our garage floor was quite pitted and required an extra step and a bit more time).  The workers arrived on time and were very knowledgeable.  I would highly recommend them in the future.  Check out their website/picture g...

My Mom forwarded me this...thought I would share.                     Hint    for Berries: This is an awesome piece of info! We buy fresh fruit but because we    eat a little of each (Banana, Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Grapes,    Cantaloupe, Pineapple & Watermelon) every day. . .  the berries start to go bad quickly and end up    in the garbage.   A friend of mine forwarded me an article from HGTV Magazine about what your blender wishes it could tell you...interesting stuff:   1.  Uh-oh I am leaking.  Unless you see an obvious crack in the jar, a leak is probably the result of a split or twisted sealing ring (the piece that sits between the jar and the part that holds the blade).  Usually you can order a replacement from the manufacturer.   2.  I'm better in metal.  Blenders with metal on both the bottom of the jar and the base where the jar attaches can last 10 plus years.  Plastic models usually survive only half that time.   3.  More buttons don't mean a better machine.  Most people need just low, medium and high speeds.  However, an extra button you do want is the pulse button! 4.  I clean up quick.  The fastest way to cle...

  A friend of mine forwarded me an article about Picky Pets and I thought I would share the highlights: Nearly every animal has moments of food fussiness.  Here are 3 tips to entice even the most finicky eaters:   1.  Make it tasty.  Add warm water to food, heat it in a pan or mix in a small amount of vet-approved herbs with heavy scents.   2.  Avoid hovering.  Your pet will  notice that you are watching and he will stop eating to get treats instead.   3.  Don't worry.  Healthy Dogs and cats can miss a meal or two as long as they are drinking plenty of water.  If it's for more that, or if he experiences prolonged diarrhea, constipation or change in behavior, contact your vet immediately.

  A friend forwarded an article to me from Womansday magazine about 3 Easy Steps to Great Feeling Feet.  I thought I would share: Even though stronger feet lead to better balance and a lower risk of injury, most of us forget to exercise them as we do the rest of our body.   Try these 3 exercises:   1.  The golf grab.  Place a golf ball under your toes and scrunch them so you are grabbing it.  Hold for 5 seconds, then release.  Do this with each foot for 30 seconds to strengthen balancing muscles.   2.  Air writing.  Write the entire alphabet in the air with your toes while sitting at a desk or table.  This helps strengthen the tendons and ligaments around your feet.    3.  The stretch.  Put on a toe-spreader (the foam kind used during a pedicure) while you watch tv or read a book.  Thi...

I read an article recently about how bad was it to hang an American Flag the wrong way?  It went on to say that technically, if you don't hang Old Glory to the left of your door (as you face the house), with the stars at the top, you are actually violating the law---the United States Flag Code to be exact.   With the Fourth of July fastly approaching, I thought this was timely information.  While there is no penalty for failure to comply, you risk offending your more patriotic neighbors.  Other  hanging how-tos: --When mounting the flag flat on a wall, tack down only the top two corners.  You are not supposed to restrict the flag, and this lets it fly freely. --And if a storm is brewing, take flags down.  Bad weather puts unnecessary wear and tag on a flag, which is considered disrespec...
