Today was a fun and enjoyable day at Lewisburg’s 31st annual Taste of Our Towns (T.O.O.T) festival. It was an overcast day with temps in the 50s, a wonderful day for our Fall Festival. I volunteered to work at one of the Tokens Booth. So many people I talked with were from out of town, and I got to see many friends doing the day. Before my shift at 12:15, I walked around and took some photos of the people and some of the vendors. I sure was getting hungry watching the people walk by eating wonderful looking sandwiches, desserts, etc. A friend, Bev White, stopped by to buy some tokens and had a beautiful piece of carrot cake in her hand. I commented how good it looked, and she said take this one and I'll go buy another one. YUM it was so delicious! Thanks so much Bev, I appreciat...

The new owners of Honnahlee, Margaret and Melvin Dolan, have lived and worked in the Lewisburg area most of their lives and certainly call it home. While working at the Wild Bean owned by Melvin's brother, and located next door to Honnahlee, they were fortunate to meet and form a friendship with the former owners of Honnahlee, Roger and Courtney Smith. "The town was pretty upset when Roger and Courtney were thinking of closing Honnahlee. Honnahlee had been here for 13 years, and was very much a part of the community, so we decided to bu...
