Carnegie Hall’s November/December Art Exhibits are set to open Friday, November 2 in conjunction with Lewisburg’s First Fridays After 5 event.  Carnegie Hall features three galleries, which display the works of regional artists for two-month shows. This month’s exhibits feature works by Richard Pranulis, Laurie Cameron, Doug Chadwick, and Richard Mallory Allnutt.  The Lobby Gallery and the Board Room Gallery will feature works by Richard Pranulis, Laurie Cameron, Doug Chadwick titled “Water.” An opening reception will take place on Friday, November 2, at 5 p.m.  Richard Pranulis, along with his wife Vivian, began silk-screening in 1971, designing and printing a calendar for the year 1972. The 34th annual Taste of Our Towns (TOOT) fall festival takes place Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Check out the 41 booths on the  2018 TOOT Map for the location and list of restaurants and organizations for some great food!  This event is a benefit for Carnegie Hall. Residents and visitors from across the region gathered on the historic streets of downtown Lewisburg to sample delicacies from local restaurants, civic clubs and organizations. This young family were first-time buyers.  He is a fireman and she is a school teacher with a young son, Carson.  I first talked to them in July 2017. They knew what they wanted and had a set criteria and price for a home in Lewisburg, WV. They made offers on two other homes, and continued on their search when they didn't come to fruition.  Finally, they found another home meeting their criteria. After some negotiations, the offer was ratified. The home inspection found items that needed repaired or replaced, and the seller had most items fixed and paid cash at closing for other repairs. After closing, I took them to Food and Friends Restaurant for an enjoyable lunch and yes, their young son, Carson, joined us.  He slept all the way through lunch.  Last week, I stopped by with a closing...
