Hanging Lake: Nature's Vertical Stairmaster! Years ago, friends invited me to go hiking. The destination: A National Natural Landmark in Glenwood Canyon near Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Dressed in a light jacket, tank top, shorts and tennis shoes, plenty of water in hand, I was stoked to go! Thinking that 1.2 miles was a piece of cake, I quickly discovered it was all uphill. As in, 1,200 feet of elevation gain in a tiny distance. Soon, both lungs were screaming but I was determined to maintain my 'coolness' in front of peers, bravely venturing on. Handrails helped maintain my dignity while sweating profusely, holding on for dear life, climbing what seemed like a 100 sets of steep stairs. A few minutes ago I heard an ad on TV for window replacement. Part of what the ad said was that 3 out of 4 real estate agents agree that replacing the windows in your home with this brand increased its value by at least 10%.What do you say?
