Apricity Will Sell You on the St. George, Utah Area! St. George, Utah, nestled in the lower southwestern tip of the state, in the high desert, boasts an impressive amount of sunshiney days annually. This translates to approximately 9 months of apricity, offering outdoorsy play in the warmth of the sun for a significant portion of every year. While the area continues to grow, the small town appeal remains, thanks to local residents. Southern Utah is an area where you will get to know your neighbors, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the community, and there is a strong spirit of volunteerism and togetherness. As long time southern Utahns, we have enjoyed golfing on championship courses, boating, fishing, hiking and bicycling or playing corn hole in the afternoon well i...

Utah Named Preferred Host of Winter Olympics in 2034!   Could it happen again? That remains to be seen, as all with be revealed in due time.   The International Olympic Committee will officially announce this event next year. Utah was home to the Winter Olympics back in 2002 and also known as, Salt Lake 2002, it put our great state on the map, you might say.   When it was announced that the Winter olympics would take place in 2002, 45% of Utah's people were against it because of the terroristic acts that took place in Georgia during their olympic event. Understandable!    The economy in Utah was better than most other states in America due to proactive building standards, especially transportation infrastructure. And the economy of today's Utah continues to get better with each year.  ...

Starting January 1 you will see some new changes at the grocery store under Colorado law no plastic bags will be available at all at the checkout line.“The option is really not guaranteed right now unless you pay for them so it sucks when you don’t wanna pay that extra $.10 or whatever so I guess they’re trying to save the whales finally,” Colorado Springs resident Antwon Yates said. But starting in 2024 you won’t be able to pay 10 cents for a plastic bag anymore. Colorado is banning stores and restaurants from using single-use plastic bags. Instead, stores will only be able to offer recycled *paper bags.. For a dime. This bag fee does not apply to Coloradans on either federal or state food assistance programs.“In this economy, we didn’t think that we would want to spend that extra cash o...

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Diwali celebration on December 2nd at Spicewood Springs Elementary cafeteria. Diwali, also known as Dipawali, stands as India's grandest and most significant festival, celebrated by millions around the world. The name "Diwali" is derived from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that illuminate homes, symbolizing the inner light that shields us from spiritual darkness. This festival holds deep cultural and spiritual significance, embodying the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. The lights of Diwali serve as a powerful metaphor, urging us to eliminate dark desires and thoughts, dispel shadows and evils, and instill the strength and enthusiasm to carry forward goodwill throughout the year.
