One thing for sure we have plenty of dining choices in The Villages, Florida.  What I like are then dining choices a 5-minute golf cart ride from my home and we have plenty of them.  The Tierra Del Sol Bar & Grill is one of them only 1.2 miles away.  One of the great things about The Villages is the country clubs have restaurants and bars and are mostly tucked away in neighborhoods.  Golf course living is important in The Villages as homes line the courses.  Where there are golf courses there are country clubs and where there are country clubs there are bars and restaurants.Tierra Del Sol offers dining 11:00 am until 8:00 pm daily with Happy Hour 3 until 5 daily.  The restaurant also offers “Live Under the Palms” with live entertainment Wednesday thru Saturday from 3-5 pm featuring many...

On March 18, our club members gathered to honor one of our members, who has been an integral part of the club for almost 44 years (exceeding only Bill Lyford and Ray Ascherfeld). He served as club president in Rotary Year 1988-89, leaving many indelible marks on our club. We were joined in this celebration not only by several former members of our Club but also by one of Jack's sons (John), his daughter (Susan), and his granddaughter (Margaret, named after Cinny). Additionally, we were joined by our 6940 District Governor, Kerry Anne Shultz DG Shultz presented a certificate (attached to email) from our club honoring his service.Cantonment, Florida: There is something new at the Cantonment Rotary Club each week, and YOU should be a part of it. Hike Alder Springs Ideally In Fall Or Spring The hike to Alder Springs outside of Sisters limits motorized access from December 1st through March 31st to protect the winter rangeland of the local deer populations. However, access to the trail head is on rough dirt roads for which 4 wheel drive and high vehicle clearance is recommended. Directions to the official trail head can be found on the USDA website. The "unofficial" route involves travel on Locust Street (Camp Polk Road) in Sisters 3.1 miles north from East Cascade Avenue. Take this to Wilt Road, staying on Wilt when the pavement ends 4 miles. Past Rimrock Ranch the road is less maintained. Travel another 2.2 miles until you see a sharp unmarked turnoff to the right onto a rough dirt road. Travel on this past a gate until you re...

I met our neighborhood Literary Guild ladies at the iconic Brick Oven Pizza restaurant in Provo Utah the other day. Brick Oven is located right next to the Brigham Young University campus. It is a super popular place to eat, especially for young families as it is cost-effective and they have the option of the all-you-can-eat salad bar, pasta bar, and breadsticks. I ordered the salad bar and breadsticks. I didn’t order pizza this time. This is not the first time I have been to Brick Oven. When I bring my grandchildren out for Pizza, this is one of the restaurants I take them to. They get the pizza and the pasta bar. Following the groundbreaking Burnett v. NAR case, a federal jury in Missouri ordered the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and its co-defendants to pay $1.78 billion in damages. This amount later escalated to $5.4 billion after tripling, igniting widespread debate and prompting numerous legal disputes regarding the income and methods employed in the real estate sector. How Much Does The Average Realtor Earn? The NCAA Men's Tournament is Down to its Last Game The practices started back in late August of 2023 and for many the games were for records in very early November.  Back and forth the 2 teams that meet on Monday night jockeyed nationally while taking care of their business within their conferences. The rankings meant little except for the prestige it carried, and maybe to move an eye of a potential recruit to wonder what it would be like to wear that uniform. It's almost all over now, and on Monday April 8 at 9:20 EST, it's tip off to see who remains the last team with a win. UConn Huskies vs Purdue Boiler Makers     Both are #1 seeds, with UConn be recognized as the first #1.  Purdue has never played for a National Championship, while UConn is playing for their 6th, and also playing ...

Real or AI Generated?  Recently, Candice Donofrio brought to my attention on ActiveRain Peeps, a consumer-facing post, specific to Washington County, Utah. The ad enticed people to 'upgrade their agent'. I found multiple voids within the entirety. Upon closer inspection, the photos appeared to be AI generated, the website went nowhere, and there was no broker information, nor name, or any other information disclosed that would be required by the real estate commission. I discovered the client testimonials were also fictitious, no such homeowners existed in the county records. In this day and age of artificial intelligence, you must verify before trusting anything online. Our profession as a whole is under attack. Being a cohesive force against false advertising, unethical practices and ...
