Photo Journalism by Patricia FeagerIf you're looking for a new and soothing place to go for coffee, breakfast, or lunch, I recommend Cerulean Blue Coffee House located in Parker's Square across from the Gazebo in Flower Mound, Texas. Cerulean is a hue of blue that looks like the Mediterranean Sea. What's unique about this new restaurant is you feel welcomed. The owners designed the Coffee House this way because they want you to feel relaxed and at home. There are two separate areas with fireplace, couch chairs, and coffee table.  What you see here is their special homemade cinnamon cream cheese biscuit for sale only on Sunday. They have a nice selection on the menu and you're welcome to click here to view the menu. As a side, I'm reading "A River of Doubt, non-fiction book by Candice Mi...

Each year on Labor Day weekend, Sacramento is fortunate enough to have the Chalk it Up Festival.  The 3 day event is located at Fremont Park.  Located between 15th and 16th Streets, and P and Q Streets.  Earlier today, I spent time walking along the sidewalks that border the park to take in the delightful art provided.  There are also crafts stands, food trucks and music in the center of the park. Admission is FREE.  Street parking is difficult to come by.  Parking at the public parking lot a block away is $15.00 for the event. For more information click: https://chalkitup.org/festival

Dealing with the IRS can be frustrating, especially when problems aren’t resolved through normal channels. The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) is here to help when things go wrong. But when should you turn to TAS? Here are key situations where they can make a difference:1. Financial Hardship or Imminent Adverse Action TAS can intervene if an IRS action, like a lien or levy, is causing you severe financial distress or facing an immediate threat of a levy or seizure. They can work to resolve the issue quickly or delay the action while your case is reviewed.2. Unresolved Issues Despite Repeated Attempts If you’ve tried multiple times to fix a tax problem but keep hitting a wall, TAS can help. TAS can break through the red tape, whether it’s a persistent error or communication breakdown.3. ...

Today is Labor Day 2024. I'm still adjusting to the realization that Summer is nearly over, the kids are back in school, and we need to begin preparing for the harvest and winter months. There's always work to do.The U.S. Department of Labor has a great synopsis of the history of Labor Day on its website. I'm sharing it here. https://www.dol.gov/general/laborday/history THE HISTORY OF LABOR DAYObserved the first Monday in September, Labor Day is an annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being.Early AdoptersBefore it was a federal holiday, Labor Day...

OK Labor Day is tomorrow. Fire of the grill as the end of Summer approaches and the football season has started. I also realize that some people do not know how to properly grill in their back yards. Yes steaks and chicken can be trickier. (Grill: Karolina Grabowska, Pixabay)So why not go to the American standby the Hot Dog? No, not the steamed dogs you find at street vendors, ballparks or at Costco. Sure they are good, but I am talking about a "grilled hot dog" preferably on charcoal and with a 100% beef hot dog, maybe with a casing. The casing, yes! Keeps the juices in so the hot dog "snaps" on the first bite. Nice!A simple and light Summer meal at Your American Dream HomeAmerican Hot Dog that I grilled. 'It just don't get any better than this!' There has been a trend of "Real Estate Advisors" who dont have a broker license or real estate license sending offers for their investment companies on filled out forms that are outdated (no longer in the form simplicty repository forms) I received an offer today for example on a 6x from last year and not the new 6xx the 6x is no longer in the form simplicity directory from FAR.(I understand the form is still in lonewolf and some form providers however still offer them as editable)The forms with their attempts to fill out on their own generally have errors such as missing property legal description, with saying things such as "as per the MLS"Our MLS says right on it in our area that this information is to be verified and not relied upon. "Information is deemed to be reliable, but is not...
