Hemp to construct housing? An interesting concept that is taking hold. This is another subject I am interested in learning more about. Hemp has been used for centuries for clothing, the fabrication of sails, food, etc., and today can be made into construction components such as hempcrete. It can also be configured to replace plastic. Hemp grows much quicker than trees, removes CO2 from the air, is biodegradable so you don't need to use commercial fertilizer, it can made into fuel to power our vehicles, and so on. Because of its versatility, I think we should be investigating it seriously. I found an article in, "2050 Materials", that was interesting to me. I hope you find it interesting too. HEMP, A GAME CHANGER. Aug 21Hemp: A Game Changer for the Building Industry Inside Flat House, Ca...

You may be hearing a lot of talk about the Federal Reserve (the Fed) and how their actions will impact the housing market right now. Here’s why.The Fed meets again this week to decide the next step with the Federal Funds Rate. That's how much it costs banks to borrow from each other. You Must Be Myth-taken. With so much erroneous, consumer-facing information hitting the internet day in - day out, it's amazing anyone would choose to forgo real estate representatation. Their choice, of course, though unnecessary mistakes can - will happen due to myth-takes! Myth-take #1Selling as a FSBO will save money. Most likely, that is not the case because agents know and understand the local market, know the laws and rules that guide the industry. They have the means to attract a large audience of buyers to get more feet through the door. Myth-take #2The home inspection is a repair list. An inspection is pertinent to prove a property's structural integrity, verify operating systems and overall condition. Unless a defect aggregiously affects the functionality of the home, some se...

The truth is, from home prices to mortgage rates, we’re seeing more volatility – and it’s important to understand why. At a high-level, let’s break down what’s happening and the best way to navigate it. What’s Driving Today’s Market Volatility? You can see that when you look at what’s happening with mortgage rates. New economic reports and other geopolitical events have an impact and can cause sudden shifts up or down, even though experts s...
