That would be nice, but wouldn't it be easier and more effective to require members to verify who they are before allowing them access to the blog site?

My concern is these scammers are always coming up with the latest and greatest tools to stay one step ahead of the controls in place.

Yes. Every platform needs spam filters. 

AR apparently has six programmers on staff since it was sold at the beginning of July.  I don't see that they have assigned any programmers to fixing the program since the same types of spam from the same person / group of people are still active.

I'm sure the staff will it under control soon.
