I have not seen this issue up until now, but then I dont use an apple device.

Looks like you got it figured out though with at least two solutions.

If I take a photo with an Apple device they do that too. I can rotate in a photo editor or post to another platform and copy from there.

Vertical photographs are not uploaded correctly. This is an issue that needs correction.

You can copy and paste them in blogs. For example, put the picture on your Facebook timeline and then copy and paste it to your blog.

I think you have to rotate the picture in your photo software first, save it, and then re-upload it. Bizarre.
