I saw an anoymous question asking for advice on changing brokerages. That made sense to me.

Maybe they are too shy to openly ask questions they are unsure of... or Mike Rock may have the answer.... witness protection program

they are in the witness protection program and trying to get into real estate. :)   or they are intimidated?

No idesa, but I do not even open anonymous posts.

Humm I wouldn't know, maybe they are not confident or are afraid to ask a sillly question.

There is no good reason, i would vote for AR to get rid of anonymous.

I have wondered that since coming here, and I will be honest I usually don't answer their questions.

Same for those without some kind of photo or logo.

Good Question!  Maybe they don't want do feel inferior by not knowing the answer, so they don't say who they are.

Often for privacy reasons or because it is an offered option.

Because the ANONYMOUS option is predominately displayed when posting a question.

Once in a while, the q's may be a bit confidential.  Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl gave a good example.  But the majority I see really seem innocuous.

fear of ridicule, private matters, or just want to stir something up.

Like Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl stated, the one about changing brokerages is the one that made sense to me.  Other than that, I'd guess it came in from the website and the person isn't a registered user.

Captain, it would make sense if a person had a serious question and need answers but didn't want the issue to be traced back to them for a particular case or circumstance.
