Depends on the day... but probably not more than 2 hours or so.

Michael - I would say at least 8 hrs a day, probably more, and pretty much 7 days a week. However, I do take time off for certain events, personal things I have scheduled, and family things.

I am up at 6 (or earlier) starting with blogging, turn the phone on at 8 am, and some days still working on CMAs and comps for buyers into the early evening hours.   Depends on how busy it is. 

It differs by day.

Most of my time is spent working ON the business.

I'm addicted to my job. I spend a lot of time on it doing different things on different days at different times of the day. 

If I'm up, I'm usually either actively working on it or thinking about it or toying with something in my subconscious.

4-8 unless showing homes.  I watch a lot of garbage tv when working on the stuff I don't need my brain for 

Generally speaking, on average, I work 10-12 hours a day on whatever needs to be done.

This is a 24/7 type of business especially with the internet and mobile devices.

If you count the hours, you may be in the wrong business.

Physically working on it, a couple of hours.  Thinking about it is endless.

There is a difference on working on your business and working in your business. I choose the later and I also don't compartmentalize business from other pursuits, so I guess I could say every waking minute.

Far too many.  But I enjoy every minute of it or I wouldn't.

I start between 7 and 730am every day and work to 830 to 9pm every night. Prospecting is most often done in between answering the phone, returning emails, showing homes and working on pending sales. 

Working on vs working in is a good debate.

On? Not enough-if only the email whack a mole would stop long enough.
