The fad is still there for some kids who have not yet been sucked into the life of cell phones and social media

Old enough to remember I was not good at it!

OH YEA! I remember them well.  If I tried it now I would throw a hip out or worse.  

I am old enough to remember. But old enough to want to forget. 

I was horrible at hula hooping. I just couldn't get that twist and wiggle right.

Why wait?  You can buy one on EBay or Amazon.  There are lots available.

 I remember it quite well. Perhaps I need to get back to doing it. I need to work on my waistline.

I know my cousin could get hers close to the speed of sound. She had moves!

I loved it. I do not think my daughter knows how to hoola hoop. 

It hasn't gone away, I still see them. But not everywhere like when I was a young kid.

I think we still have a couple in the closet at moms house... they really are good exercise!

Ok - yes, I remember that and even had a red one Jack Lewitz - HA!  And I have seen it back in some gyms as exercise equipment, though this was about 9 years ago in CA.  It was so much fun!! 

Sure, I remember hula hoops.  They had them on the playground in elementary school. 

Remember it, yes. Good at it, no.

I do remember, and also remember I could not do this! 

I just came across two in my garage...

I remember my dad buying one and drilled holes all around it and turned it into a sprinkler for bushes.  We had several Hula-Hoops until my dad got ahold of them. (After we quit using them, of course)

I do remember! I was actually at an event with my granddaughter this weekend and there was a girl there who had a light up hula hoop and she did all sorts of neat tricks! It was cool to see!

That was pretty good exercise. 

Fad?  Venice Beach has schools dedicated to this.  Look up "Hoopnotica" on youtube.  Plenty of exercise videos and hula hooping on the beach.

I was a young girl when these first became popular.

I do! Had hours of fun in my driveway with those!

I remember them well. It was a good workout but it was fun

I had one when I was a child, but I don't think I was around when the fad first hit.

Good exercise.  

Oh yes! 

Did they ever leave?  They are still available in toy stores. 

I have one still!

Every Sunday morning there's a gaggle of ladies on the beach with their hoops. 

I could not bare to stay around to see the exhibition. 

I sure it would have been amazing.

Doubt this would have ever been a fad if kids had all the electronic toys back then that we do today...a little sad...

That was a fad? I thought that was my latest exercise class at the fitness center I go to.
