Just a friendly reminder that overnight, on-street parking requires a permit. There is a 30-minute time limit for parking on Brea streets between 2:00 and 6:00 AM without a parking permit.  Parking permits can be applied for at Development Services at Brea's civic center on Birch Ave.  Residents have to meet established guidelines in order to get these permits, which have an annual $20 fee.  If a resident has a garage and driveway that will store all of their vehicles, most likely a permit will be denied.  The city does not care if a garage is used for storage and won't fit a vehicle. 06/11/2009

Alert OC ~ Alert Orange County  has been rolled out to a wide range of cities in the County of Orange and Brea is one of them. The first test of the REVERSE 911 system takes place in the City of Brea on May 13! The notification system is will alert OC residents in the event of an emergency or local concerns. It's FREE and can be activated on a city-wide regional basis or targeted for specific locations. It's important to note that according to city representatives available "land-line"  phone numbers have been automatically pre-loaded into the system.
