We had a great turn out at last Thursday's Barcourts at Harcourts Prestige Properties in La Jolla. We had live music, great food, and great sponsors! I am so proud of our brokerage reaching out to help the San Diego community! We raised $400 for Helen Woodward Animal Center in Rancho Santa Fe. Helen Woodward Animal Center along with Southwest Airlines and BP flew the animals from Hurricane Sandy out to San Diego for adoption. Yesterday I received a call from a potential customer who was working on a new business concept for his area, which he likened to a Renter Resume.  He was very excited to find our Tenant Screening product options and learned he could be up and running with a myriad of background reporting options for his clients who were seeking to be pre-qualified for rentals in his competitive market. This structure was built in the early 1960's and designed by the world famous architect, Louis Kahn. La Jolla homes ocean view condos in the Village end-of-2012 Market Report An average ocean view costs an average of $ 250 per sq ft more.  So, a 1,000 sq ft condo would average an additional $ 250,000 more, for a good view $ 500,000 more, for a mostly obstructed view $ 100,000.  For the last  8 months there have been 22 sales ranging from $ 650,000 to 6.2M, averaging $ 1.1M-$1.5M and taking a couple months to sell.  The average per square foot price is $ 895-$913, oceanfront being 913 or more.  This is up 6%-14%

La Jolla homes end-of-2012 Market Report by neighborhood-prices up   Our prices are finally starting up, La Jollas' demand is picking up, There's still a selection but not as much, we're beginning to see the light.  Single family homes rose 3%-16% in 11 neighborhoods, went down 1%-14% in 3, and 1 had no change.  Condos, town homes, and twin homes went up 1%-13% in 6 neighborhoods, went down 4%-6% in 2, and 3 had no change.  Prices of ocean view condos in the Village (Prospect St to the ocean) in creased 6%-14%.  Sales volume was up 31% for single family homes and 35% for condos.  So, nothing dramatic, but, at least an upward pattern.  Inventory continues to be lower than normal but there's still a selection.  Email derk@derk1.com if you'd like me to email this report to you (no San Dieg...
