Dining Out: After 5pm, In La Jolla Some of my Favorite La Jolla Village & Shores Restaurants to enjoy views, atmosphere drinks & dinner are: Duke's: The newest edition to Prospect Street, the main drag in La Jolla Village, is Dukes La Jolla, a very trendy Hawaiian Fusion, muti-level restaurant with ocean views. I received advanced notice they were coming because I helped on of the managers find a rental property, as they were moving to La Jolla from Hawaii. Very trendy, upbeat atmosphere, great service on the slower side and the food was amazing…lots of fresh fish dishes to choose from. It's loud inside, which makes conversation challenging at times, but the energy is palpable.                                                               Here are my bride & I at Dukes with some of my f...

My Favorite Places to Enjoy a Coffee in La Jolla, CA In no particular order, since it’s based on what drops in, as my urge to visit for “any given day”. (Yes there is a Peet’s and a Starbucks in La Jolla, but why bother? In La Jolla you have so many "local-personality" places to experience with great coffee and atmosphere, food and in some cases, ocean views)!  The very famous, (often line out the door) La Jolla local favorite is known as: Brick & Bell Café Address: 928 Silverado St, La Jolla, CA 92037This place reminds me of a coffee bar in Italy, very small, very expansive coffee selection, yet simple breakfast menu & pastries menu and very, very much a buzzing beehive of activity, conversation and locals. The Baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable, while skilled at making the s...

Annual La Jolla Cove Swim Club Polar Bear Plunge is January 1 First off I have to say I admire those who decide to jump in the cold ocean in the middle of winter, or even parade around on a chilly beach in a bathing suit. Not for me, now or ever! And this is no doubt a tad bit warmer than doing it back in Boston, for example. Seems to me they also did this sort of thing back in Minnesota. Of course you had to dig holes through the ice in the lake. My opinion aside, New Year's Day, Friday January 1, is the date for the annual La Jolla Cove Swim Club Polar Bear Plunge. This will be accompanied by chili (potluck) you bring and perhaps other warm food to complement, with cider and coffee to be provided.  The polar bear plunge is NOT being held at La Jolla Cove but at Kellogg Park in La Joll...

(Rentec Direct Property Management Software Tenant Screening)
Does your State's Law allow a Landlord to enter a dwelling at will, or must he get permission from the Renter or give notice?  Most landlords, I would hope, realize that in most cases notice must be given prior to entering an occupied rental unit. Of course there are exceptions to this rule and in some cases giving notice isn't enough. Under good circumstances a landlord or representative (property manager) would arrange with the tenant a date and time to access the premises. In this case no formal notice is required and the landlord comes over at the agreed upon time. In Oregon we are bound by ORS 90.322 that states a landlord or their property manager may enter into the tenants dwelling under the tenants exclusive control for the purposes of; inspections, necessary or agreed upon repa...

La Jolla, California. It's not just a vacation destination with it's beautiful beaches, top quality art and perfect waves. La Jolla is the perfect place to call home. The place you'll want to come home to after a long day at the office and the perfect place to raise your family. It's a place that you will glad you belong to and a place where you will never be bored. For the tourists, La Jolla features access to San Diego, California, a city teeming with well-known attractions and tourist traps. But for the locals, La Jolla is destination enough. There are more than enough restaurants with a variety of different styles of food that you'll never tire of. Not to mention all the shopping centers located throughout town and down by the beach.Of course, what's the point of living in one of the...
