 Mission Viejo Lake Summer Concerts 2015 July 11, 2015 the Mission Viejo Lake Summer Concert Series continues with Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers. Every Summer Saturday night, Lake Mission Viejo hosts a free summer concert for it's members and their friends. The gates open early, at 6am, for those who want to set up the best spots, but I like to just show up...I always find space with friends I find there. Food and great music! Bring a picnic or buy from the vendors.  I've Been Cox Blocked When it's faster to hand deliver a message than it is to send it by email, there's a big problem. Cox is my internet and email provider and I'm really unhappy.  Emails sit in my outbox and take a long time to get sent if they ever escape from the outbox. This blog would be far too long if I outlined all of the ways Cox has not solved the problem.  It reminds me of how ActiveRain hasn't solved the issue of uploading photos from an iPad, but anyway.... Here are some of the the more ridiculous responses from Cox: "Cox is an internet provider.  We do not have to offer email."  Then don't. "People use email on multiple devices and that takes up a lot of space."  Wow, who knew??! "Use webmail.  You should be happy I'm giving you a workaround."  I'm super happy and by th...

It sounds like a good idea, and I'm not going to debate the pros or cons of solar power options for the home, but if you're planning to sell your home, it can cost you a buyer.Residential solar power is offered as an outright sale and a long term lease. The financial difference is clear. The long term leases generally are zero down and the idea is that you'll save so much on your electric bill that the lease payment added to any electricity use is still cheaper. I don't know about that.What I do know, is that buyers are not excited about assuming responsibility for these long term leases. The Text Message that Made My Day I have lovely clients whose home in the Timberline community of Mission Viejo I sold two years ago.  I'd met the wife at an open house seven years before they listed their home with me.   Here's the text message I received from the wife today: "Two years ago this Memorial weekend, you did the unthinkable and sold our house.  So grateful and happy!!  I use your vases a lot and send you a hug every time.  Have a great day." These clients ended up as friends, of course.  How could they not?!   Whenever I'm in the state where they now live, they invite me to visit.  I've only been able to get there once, but it's so nice that such a warm relationship developed with what started as an open house visit and a real estate transaction. These folks are quality pe...
