Too Late for 2385 Rancho Del Oro #61 in Oceanside CA This beautifully remodeled upper level 3-bedroom condo came on the market Monday morning, offering the Oceanside lifestyle just a few miles to the beaches and close proximity to abundant shopping, dining, services, and major commuting routes in the 72-unit gated complex of Mission Del Oro.   The sellers made many improvements in the last 4 years, including flooring, carpet, kitchen upgrades, several new appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher), and a new HVAC system with ducts and registers was installed earlier this year.  The sellers did a terrific job preparing the home for the professional photo shoot last week, and for the market, and it showed. The first showing was the next morning and by Tuesday night a great offer acceptable to...

The name Oceanside says it all. The city next to the Ocean. One historical landmark is the Oceanside Pier. It is one of the longest piers in California. The entrance to the amphitheater is right next to it, which hosts many musical and cultural events. Walk down to the end of the pier and you will find Ruby’s Dinner with great views of the ocean. The Oceanside Harbor is a very special place to visit. It offers waterfront dining, sports fishing, gift shops, and stand up paddle boarding. This harbor has a classic Cape Cod theme. One of the exceptional destinations is the Mission San Luis Rey. The museums display the history of the American Indians and the Spanish founders all dating back to the year 1798. The grounds and landscaping are a must to see along with the architecture of the pe...

When Pigs Fly  I continue to add to my wall mural collection, which is primarily wall art in Carlsbad. I'm finding there are lots of wall murals in Oceanside - just to the north of Carlsbad - and stumbled across this one the other day while out looking at property and picking my wife up at the train station. We all have heard the saying "when pigs fly." You know, when someone says they are going to do something and you know it ain't gonna happen.  Or perhaps we might say something like "someday there will be no spam here on AR." Hmmm, when pigs fly, I think. This mural is on the side wall of the aptly-named "Flying Pig Pub and Kitchen," which features BBQ, and other food, at 2 locations, Oceanside and Vista. I'm not a BBQ fan, but they have a pretty good reputation in the area. The mura...

Wordless Wednesday: Oceanside Wall Mural  I keep adding to my collection of colorful wall murals in Carlsbad as well as from Oceanside. This is the Living Tea Brewing Company building on a small street in Oceanside - if you want to buy Kombucha, I understand THIS is the place in the area. I discovered this cool building last year when I sold an ocean-view town home as a second home to referral clients from Nevada right down the street.

Ocean Hills Country Club 55+ Community in Oceanside Market Update March 2018 Ocean Hills Country Club in Oceanside CA is commonly regarded as the premier 55+ community in coastal North San Diego County, perhaps even in San Diego County, and prices reflect that as compared to other 55+ neighborhoods. Buyers with the right budget are often interested in the homes for sale at Ocean Hills Country Club.  Ocean Hills is a gated and guarded community (24-hour guards), with the primary point of access for residents and the public off Cannon Road, and a second entrance/exit for residents only. Ocean Hills Country Club is known for its resort and active-senior lifestyle. The community offers a wide range of housing styles, sizes, prices and views but with fairly limited turn-over (there are 1632 ...
