Yesterday my husband and I took advantage of the long hours of daylight by engaging in one of our favorite activities: hiking, this time at Windy Hill Open Space Preserve. Ending our work day around 5:00 PM, a 20-minute drive had us at the trailhead in Portola Valley, where we headed up Hammes Gulch Trail, across the undulating Lost Trail, and down Razorback Ridge trail and eventually back to our car.
