Only the locals know about a little known company called Billings Artworks. In the small mountain town of Ridgway, Colorado, John Billings hand crafts each Grammy Trophy.   Billings Artworks, and owner John Billings, have an interesting history. O'Brien's Pub & Grill Ouray, Colorado...Great Food and Great Drinks. There are a lot of dining choices in Ouray, Colorado, but many of the restaurants are closed during the winter season. That's how I started going to O'Brien's Pub. It was one of the few places open in the winter.   O'Brien's Pub and Grill has become my favorite place for lunch, dinner, or a snack, or to watch football and enjoy a tasty adult beverage, anytime of the year. The locals come here to warm up, or cool off, and many great conversations have started up over a cold beer and some tasty grub from O'Brien's. Check out the menu. O'Brien's has some really unique and great tasting appetizers.   Guinness Stout is always in season and on tap. There's also a fine line of other micro brews on tap or in bottle. The O'Brie...

The Historic Wiesbaden Vapor Cave, Hot Springs and Hotel, Ouray, CO. The vapor caves are another Western Colorado must see attraction. This is the most fantastic place to get it away from it all and relax. At the Historic Wiesbaden Vapor Cave and Hot Springs you can really melt all your cares away. The natural mineral hot spring water comes from deep underground and runs into the vapor cave. There it collects in a shallow pool and keeps the cave at a steamy temperature that will open every pore you have. There are several benches carved out of the natural rock for sitting. I like soaking in the cave's pool which can be as hot as 108 degrees. The natural spring water is heated somewhere way under ground and has many therapeutic benefits. Most everyone can tolerate the steamy temperature o...

In July we took off a few days to explore Colorado a little more. Among other things it took us to to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and then to Ouray. I was excited as I had heard so much about it - hence i was really curious. At the entrance of town we stopped at the tourist information center to get quick information on lodging. We decided on a medium priced hotel with hot springs hot tubs: Box Canyon Lodge. The rooms were modest but clean and the staff was friendly. Look at the pictures below. We had separate hot tub towels, a fridge, a microwave. All we needed. The hotel was booked and we got the last room. I was a happy camper. After unloading our truck and the motorbikes off the trailer, Tim [my husband] went for a bike ride and I was walking around town. Well, that was right a...

Ouray, Colorado is A year around playground. Ouray, Colorado is known as the Switzerland of American. There's no guessing why. Ouray, Colorado is a gem on the Western Slope. This small mountain town got its start in the mining era in the late 1800s. Tourism keeps it going today. Somehow this town has managed to perserve it's history and you can see this in the buildings. Most of them are restored Victorian style structures. If you're like most small businesses in today's economy you're probably looking for new and innovative ways to cut costs while still maintaining your day to day business activities.  This is a common problem that we hear every day from small business owners and entrepreneurs in a wide variety of industries. Many small businesses, self-employed individuals, and even large corporations are turning to a virtual office assistant to stay on top of administrative tasks while eliminating the need to fund a full-time staff. As USA Today wrote, "The savings come from being able to concentrate efforts on building the business instead of balancing the checkbook and typing envelopes." Your time and money are worth more when you are able to concentrate on what you do best and leave the rest to an as...

Here is a great article that I came across!   Organize and Search Twitter Tweets Quickly and Easily© Shelly Hokanson Twitter is a fantastic communication tool, but it is easy to be overwhelmed with messages. Organize tweets with TweetDeck and never miss another message. Twitter is all the rage - the micro-blogging service that allows users to post short messages online and on the go via text messages. Its simplicity is apparent. Users are encouraged to answer one simple question: "What are you doing?" The trouble is, Twitter's interface is purely chronological. Whether accessing Twitter via the web or via text messages on a mobile phone, users see nothing more than a chronological list of messages (or "tweets"). TweetDeck was designed to make it easier to organize, search, and post twee...
