I think that everyone that has heard of Cocoa Beach, Florida has heard of Ron Jon Surf Shop.  I marvel at ginormous (that would be giant and enormous all in one) it has become. Ron Jon has become the Worlds Most Famous Surf shop. The multi level store, which is open 24 hours a day,  is over 52,000 square feet. And sells beach wear, surfboards, bikinis, and anything else you can think of that you might need for a day at the beach. Ron Jon is a tourist attraction in and of itself. It has become so popular that over 2 million people from around the world visit it each year.  Now that's pretty amazing! Ron Jon often boasts community events with bands, music and often big name surfers. Ron Jon is located at the corner of Highway A1A and State Road 520. It's hard to miss. A visit to Cocoa Bea...

Cocoa Florida main overview Cocoa Florida is really two areas, a beach town and a mainland town separated by yet a third town.  And geographic terminology can be somewhat confusing too. Let’s try to sort it out for you!Cocoa Beach is a town on the barrier island located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River Lagoon on Florida's Central East Coast, just south of Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. The city of Cocoa is on the western (mainland) side of the Indian River.  Merritt Island, a long pointed piece of land and town parsing inland bay or lagoon waters into the Indian (Westside) and Banana (Eastside) “rivers” separates Cocoa from Cocoa Beach.  Got that? Cocoa Beach This beach town has made it to the radar screen of most Americans with any knowledge of Florida.  Li...

It was our first sunrise walk on the beach, while staying at a Cocoa Beach Condo.  The beach was not crowded, and only the sound of the waves and birds could be heard.  As we got closer to a small group of people, we discovered the Bird Man of Cocoa Beach! Opportunities Abound for Family Fun in Cocoa Beach    Ron Jon's Surf Shop, the Cocoa Beach Pier, fishing, boating and surfing can all be enjoyed in Cocoa Beach. But this morning, the main attraction was the Bird Man.  Small groups gathered and took photos as the morning came alive.  According to locals, he is out there every morning. This was truly an amazing sight! One with nature, there is something for everyone in Cocoa Beach Florida!

Come join us for a magnificent sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean in Cocoa Beach!  Cocoa Beach is famous for many reasons, and the brilliant sunrises tops them all.  The beach is so tranquil at this time of the day, with only the sounds of the waves and birds to accompany you.  Taking a walk during the sunrise is breathtaking and changes with every step you take!  A Place Where Memories Live and are Conceived  Watching the sunrise is wonderful, and it stirs memories of many sunrises ago.  When we were children, families would fish early in the morning, and watching the sunrise was the highlight of the day.  The race was on to see if the bacon and eggs were done on the wood fire before the sun was up.  As soon as the light of day shined, the nets were brought up for inspection and harvestin...

What's it like to "sleep on it" in a Cocoa Beach Condo?  After much thinking and discussion, we decided to make a sacrifice and experience it for ourselves.  We have some friends who invested in two Cocoa Beach Condos recently that allow weekly rentals.  A quick phone call and the family was off to Cocoa Beach for a mini vacation. Its Amazing to Discover The Wonderful Places to Visit That Are Nearby Okay, confession time. Other than to work with real estate, we rarely go to the beach even though it is only twenty minutes away.  I know, we should be ashamed.  But, this time, we took action and went for it.  A few days of re-discovering Cocoa Beach and all the things to do there was well worth the sacrifice. Cocoa Beach Condos are Highly Recommended after "Sleeping On It" a Few Nights! Wi...

So we are here in Cocoa Beach on vacation and stopped to get ice cream yesterday for the kids. Anyone that lives in the Cocoa Beach area has to try this gourmet ice cream shop! First, the owners are awesome and so friendly. The ice cream is incredible! My kids had cotton candy and superman flavors and I (who lost 25 pounds on weight watchers) gave in when I saw Strawberry Shortcake ice cream. We're going back today. After I work out. It's located on 261 W. Cocoa Beach Causeway in the white rose shopping center. It's one block west of A1A on Hwy. 520.

How does the short sale of a Cocoa Beach, Florida condo end up at a Beach Boys concert?  What a roller coaster ride this short was! I helped a couple place an offer on a condo in Cocoa Beach, which was a short sale.  The offer was placed on February 19, 2008, and did not close until May 11, 2008.  I'll spare you the details, let's just say it was one of those nightmare deals.  I had the best buyers that anyone could ask for.  They knew what they wanted (even though another agent wanted them to have something else), they were patient, and a pleasure to work with.  Okay, What Do The  Beach Boys Have to do With a Cocoa Beach Condo Short Sale? Half way through the transaction the buyers asked my husband and I to join them at a Beach Boys Concert at the world famous Cocoa Beach Pier.  Some o...

Cocoa Beach Condo prices have fallen to a point that is creating some great opportunities to own a condo on, or near the beach.  Even the media is reporting on this story.  According to the Florida Today newspaper, condo prices on the Space Coast of Brevard, have fallen to levels that are spurring more interest in condo units.   Cocoa Beach Condos Heating Up a Surprise? The interest in beach side condos should not be a surprise to anyone.  We are seeing interested buyers from all over the country as well as from overseas.  Real Estate agents in the trenches have notice an increase in buyer activity since the first of the year in 2008.  The Space Coast of Brevard, with Cocoa Beach near the middle, offers so many great opportunities for home owners, investors, and visitors.  With summer c...
