You can find Maui made arts and crafts every day in the big room overlooking the Maalaea Boat Harbor, at the Harbor Shops in Maalaea.  Vendors change daily so you can visit often and be surprised at the new items on display.  There is a whale and turtle theme of course since the Maui Ocean Center aquarium is next door, and the Pacific Whale Foundation starts their whale watches here at the Harbor Shops.  You will also see plenty of nice jewelry and bright resort wear, so plan on spending some time browsing the various vendor stalls. Cash or Loan One of the questions people most often ask me is the market sustaining sales? And if so are they cash or loan. Every month I crunch the numbers to give these clients and friends an answer. This past month of September was and is a typical display of our Maui Hawaii real estate market in its volatile uneasy state.   Condo minimums Sold in the month of September 2011 81 units sold Cash 52 units = 65% Loan 29 units = 35%   And just the opposite for Maui homes   Homes sold in the month of September 2011 79 units sold Cash 25 units = 32% Loan 54 units sold = 68%
