A few months back I got a call from a person interested in new construction in Ankeny. Seems she had been given my number by a lender who I've worked with in the past. She was looking at new construction and had narrowed here search down to one home, bu she wanted and independent opinion of the property from someone in the real estate industry, apart from the listing agent that is. We spoke briefly on the phone and I got an idea of what type of home she was looking at. A couple months back I got a call on a Tuesday afternoon. This person, Shannon, it seems had just found out that she had landed an interview for a lucrative job opening in the area. She had found me on the internet and decided I was someone she'd like to work with and she wanted to come down on the weekend and look at homes with her family in order to get a feel for the market. There were just two problems, she wasn't sure she'd even get the job and it was the July 4th weekend. I assured here that I'd be happy to show her and her family homes in the area and it was not an imposition as my family had planned to stay around in the area anyway.
