I have been telling you about this beach front home and wanted to share this letter, written by the owner. Love when a seller can talk about their property and share so much information.    5131 Breezy Point Road Chesapeake Beach MD 20732   "Mermaid Dreams" 'Imagine sitting on your two sided wrap around 4 seasons screened porch looking  out over the water.  If it’s a little Chilly you can turn on the infrared porch heaters, pour a cup of coffee or tea and witness the beauty of a sunrise from the porch or any window, lighting up the water.    Inside a Gourmet custom kitchen, a quaint living room with wood stove, sit down at the custom peninsula for a candle lit dinner with the sounds of the waves lapping on the beach.   After dinner take a nice long hot dip in your spa and stargaze. End...

Ski Tracks on the beach Ready for a day on the beach? Now this is not for everyone. In fact very few will appreciate the idea but some may see the beauty in the photos.  There's about four inches of snow in Chesapeake Beach! My sellers are at home in their toasty warm beach house  watching TV, having drinks and snacks in front of the wood burning stove.      So it's 10° but this weekend they will have sunny skys.  Are you bored? Do you need some exercise? Do something different. Have some fun! Ski on the beach.    Blow Ice Bubbles How about a nice steamy hot tub, a hot toddy and a seat by the warm fireplace. This is January 2018 in MarylandandThis home at 5131 Breezy Point Rd  is for sale!MLS #CA10070568   For information on this homeCall Margaret Rome

It is no secret that I have the very best sellers. How lucky that I get to work with people I like and respect selling wonderful houses. We decided to have a holiday open house in December. Click to see photos  Mother nature had another plan...called snow! Many phone calls back and forth between the me and sellers...and it was decided that they would leave the open house on but I would not be attending...not with it already snowing and a forecast of 4-8'' and a drive of 90 minutes without weather or traffic. My wonderful seller surprised me with this poem:  “Twas the night before open house” 'Twas the night before our open house, when all through the landThe forecasters had said 4-6” of snow should be planned; The wine, cheese, crackers, and cookies were displayed with care;In hopes that a...

Received a few photos from my sellers in Chesapeake Beach this evening as they were celebrating Erin's birthday. The flowers and appetizers look beautiful and then one more picture came.  It was a picture of the Harvest Moon over the Chesapeake Bay and the photo was taken from the family room window. That same view can be seen from the Master Bedroom. Click to see photos!  What a lovely way to spend a birthday, the holidays or next Saturday's ActiveRain Open House.  Please join usSaturday December 9, 2017 2-4  5131 Breezy Point Rd Chesapeake BeachMaryland 20732  MLS# CA10070568      Please join usSaturday December 9, 2017 2-4  5131 Breezy Point Rd Chesapeake BeachMaryland 20732   To see this home call Margaret Rome 410-530-2400

Thunder, Rain and Lightning in Southern Maryland!Well, if Riley Rover could fit under the bed, he would hide there tonight. It is not an add steps to the Fitbit night. It is not a sit on the Porch night. It is not a sashay down the Town of Chesapeake Beach Boardwalk night. Nor is it a walk the beach for fossils and shark's teeth night. What is it? It's a watch the Lightning over the Chesapeake Bay kind of night! D-U-C-K!

According to the ASPCA, over 7.5 million animals find their way into an American animal shelter every year.  The majority of these animals are dogs and cats.  This is an issue here in the Chesapeake Beach community as well.  Thousands of animals are dropped off at the Humane Society of Calvert County each and every year.  It takes money to care for these homeless pets.  You can help the shelter by coming to the 2015 Chesapeake Beach Rock N Roll for Rescues this Friday night for an evening of music, fun and more.What: 2015 Chesapeake Beach Rock N Roll for RescuesWhere: American Legion Post 206 (3330 Chesapeake Beach Rd, Chesapeake Beach, MD)When: Friday, April 10, 2015 7pmCost: $35 per personContact: Humane Society of Calvert County (410) 257-4908At the 2015 Chesapeake Beach Rock N Roll ...

Just pass a FROZEN bag of peas, PLEASE! My second Golden Retriever, Trevor Triever, was a free spirit. He lived life on his own terms. He was a Golden Goof Ball and I loved him for it. He could always make me laugh. Anyway, we were out by the garage playing fetch many moons ago.  Next thing I knew, he ran smack dab into me by mistake and there I landed ungloriously sprawled out on the ground at Mosquito Gulch. I somehow got up the hill, inside the house, and gathered the composure to call my childhood best friend. Her Mom had been a Nurse so of course she knew everything about how to handle my moans and groans and swells and bruises. Since I did not have an ice pack, she suggested putting a bag of frozen peas over my swollen ankle. Trevor Triever grabbed that bag of peas and took off ru...

Lovely Fire in the Fireplace this Southern Maryland Evening! I took time to stack it. It looked just perfect. Pretty as a picture.  It was all set to go while I was tackling a paperwork project. One match and PRESTO the perfect fire would be in the fireplace. So imagine my surprise when I went downstairs to see the remains of what once was a beautiful snowy evening fire. You got it as in huh, what, no way. Yep, yep, it started on its own. All by its lonesome. The must have been a few warm embers that took a few days to ignite all on their very own.  Nope, no App was used. Good question, though.  Time to stack the SECOND perfect fire.
