Kentlands Photowalk: Joe Pye Weed, Eutrochium purpureum IMG 5064 I enjoy photographing plants and flowers while photowalking through Kentlands, our home community in Gaithersburg, Maryland 20878. Frequently, I do not know the correct names. This plant was over six feet tall and was growing in front of a white picket fence. I had to go to a plant identification group on Facebook for name assistance.This is Joe Pye Weed, Eutrochium purpureum. Time for a flu shot A cooler autumn morning made it a good time for me to visit the Kentlands Family Barber to get a much needed haircut by Judy. Then, I drove on to the office of Plotsky Medical Associates for my annual flu shot. Yes, it is time for flu shots. Gaithersburg Indoor Aquatic Center has Reopened The Gaithersburg Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 2 Teachers Way next to Gaithersburg Middle School, has reopened after several weeks of repairs and maintenance.The Center is owned by Montgomery County Public Schools and operated by the City of Gaithersburg after school and when school is out of session. It features six 25-yard lap lanes, two diving boards, an outdoor patio, full-size lockers, and a shallow-water "teach pool."
