Bright MLS has a feature that tracks the Home Demand Index (HDI) per zip code in Calvert County. The Calvert County HDI for January 2023 is 75, falling in the "slow" range. While the "slow" characterization is not surprising given how the real estate market in general is being reported, as well as the interest rate situation and low inventory giving buyers limited choices, there are bright spots in the numbers. One of the most noteworthy revelations when taking a look at this index is that when comparing to the index a year ago, the index is still higher in the majority of the zip codes in the county.
