Greenville NC -  Its been a hot summer here in Pitt County and the recent weather has kept lots of people inside the past few weeks but that was not the case when I visited the local mall here on Saturday. Pulling into the mall I was like WOW at all the people and then I remembered it was tax free weekend. Summer coming to an end and all the school shoppers were out in numbers looking for the local deals. I made my way inside to find that my favorite store was very packed with young buyers, the manager made comment to me of just how busy they had been the whole weekend and sales were GREAT! Back in March, my middle child Rachel Iris has renal failure.  A week in a hospital will make you figure out what you want out of life.  Appointments and biopsies make you realize how precious life is.  We had taken her to the doctor a few times, they kept saying that it was normal childhood sickness.  Two days after her fourth birthday, I had enough..... It was great news to wake up to this morning to hear that JH Rose made the Top of the Class High School list. Newsweek Magazine compiles a list each year of the Top High Schools across the country. This list of 1,300 High Schools list our own JH Rose High School this year at number 682. The schools are ranked by test scores and other year end testing. The nation is facing growing economic challenges, but Greenville, some experts say, is good for business.Forbes Magazine pegged Greenville as the eighth-best small metro for business and careers in its annual rankings, released last month.
