According to Foxnews.com, a 26 year old Huntersville man just had his stomach removed in early March in a Boston hospital. The man was having it removed because he has a history of stomach cancer in his family and had seen some relatives die of the disease, a very painful death. READ THE ARTICLE HERE What is SO wild is that I just watched my favorite show, "Gray's Anatomy" and the show had 3 siblings going in for the same surgery and with a very similar story line! Only 2 of the siblings got the surgery and the show was really good and drama-filled! So, I wonder if this Huntersville man knows he has a show written about his surgery? I'm sure some people will argue which came first the chicken or the egg? But after reading the article about the Huntersville, NC man, it's just too close! ...

Step aside Evian, Perrier, SanPelligrinio and Fiuggi!  Did you know that right here in our own town of Huntersville, located down a long country road off of Beatties Ford, is the Midas Spring, a "natural resource comparable to the best springs in Europe, which are prized for their health-giving benefits"?    We all know that water is good for us but how often do we just grab whatever bottled water is on sale not knowing that all waters are not the same? "Each mineral water has a particular content, created by the minerals it leaches from the surrounding rock in the underground aquifer where it resides" according to owner Joe Liburdi.  "Midas Spring Water is especially good since it has a very low chemical content but is rich in a few important elements.  It is considered a light mine...

My Valentine's Day Dinner was Fabulous! We had a lovely dinner at Mickey & Mooch in Lake Norman with my Valentine's parents. The restaurant was packed, there was live music, and the service was wonderful. We Dined on Salmon and Filet with mash potatoes and sugar snap peas. Eez Fusion and Sushi Restuarant is located in Birkdale Village shops in Huntersville, NC They offer over 85 items on their sushi bar. The chef's name is Rifali and he makes "special" rolls every week. Tons of people in my networking groups RAVE about the sushi here. I am not a big sushi eater, but I have tried at least 3 of the rolls here and definitely "fresh". But, you should really try the salads and hot foods as well.  Scrumptious chicken satay, spicy thai cucumber salad, and lettuce wraps are some of my favorites. You can't go wrong at this Lake Norman secret! Here is the Menu They also have wine dinners here! I will post when we are having one, sometime in February. My wine group will be invited and only 18 spots for RSVPs! Speaking of drinking, they are home of the "10oz Martini"...

I must admit I am extremely impressed with Simonini Builders.  Not only are they one of the few Lake Norman home builders to be breaking ground on a new, upscale housing development, but they are tackling this difficult Lake Norman real estate market by creating a community incorporating an acknowledgment of today's pricing and a design plan and vision clearly focused on the future with an important memory of the past.     The Preserve at Robbins Park was designed blending the 19th century concept of a "preferred neighborhood bordering a capacious public park" with "the luxury of in-town living with a Lake Norman address".   Why is The Preserve at Robbins Park Extraordinary?: They offer a "balance of a "commitment to preservation of nature with the tranquility of a home" Their design...

This is a photo of the Lake Norman Dam next to the Nuclear Power plant on the south side of Lake Norman. I know it's not that pretty, but it's so mammoth in size and it's actually keeping so much water in on the other side. Lake Norman is a man-made Lake. The water just south of it flows down into South Carolina--The Catawba Valley River Chain.   Sandy Aichner, Broker/Realtor 19810-C W. When you're doing your annual spring cleaning, and you pull out the washer and dryer to sweep behind it and retrieve socks and other items that have fallen back there, do you also see a lot of lint and dust?  Where does it all come from?  I thought all the lint was caught by the lint screen which I clean after each load of laundry!  Well, if there is a large pile of lint behind the dryer, think how much could be built-up and trapped in the dryer ducts that should have went outdoors through the dryer vent.   Cleaning the lint screen after each load of laundry is very important, but it is just a start.  Some lint escapes the screen and goes out through the dryer ducts and vent.  Unfortunately, some of the lint does not make it all the way outdoors; it becomes trapped in the dryer ducts wh...
