The median price of a condo in the Quay went up 7% from $360,000 to $385,000 and the average price went up slightly from $376K to $378K.  Home prices in Bodie Isle Beach are definitely on the increase. Even though the number of homes sold remained the same, the total dollar volume went up considerably. The median price also increased by 14% from $645,000 to $731,000. The charts below show the single family homes that were sold by a bank, in the foreclosure process, in Nags Head going back to 2005. The statistics for each year show us that the peak in the distressed market was in 2010 when there were 43 foreclosures sold.  Southridge home prices are going up and have been for a while. One of the brite spots in the Nags Head real estate market has been the community of Southridge on the westside of Rt158 behind the Nags Head post office.2015 saw an increase all across the board, as demonstrated in the 2 charts below. The median price of a home sold in Southridge went from $280K in 2014 to $305K in 2015, an increase of 9%. The real estate market in Old Nags Head Cove saw an increase in the number of single family home sales last year. In total, 18 homes were sold in 2015, up two from 16 home sales in 2014. Overall, prices for single family homes are stagnant with the median price falling slightly last year.The good news in Old Nags Head Cove is with the waterfront properties.
