Huricane Irene has become quite popular talk of the town and the airwaves over the past few days. Tonight I'm sitting home watching the weather channel and accessing my computer for further news about the impending hurricane that is about to ascend on New Jersey and the rest of the northeast coastline. I just listed 4 Bed/2 Bath fixer-upper home located in Hazlet, New Jersey is now for sale. The good thing about this house is that it's not too close to the shore line and or bay but is near enough to still enjoy all that the New Jersey shore has to offer, safely. Who doesn't love a bargain?  And what better place to find one than at the Hazlet Townwide Yard Sale.  For those of you who are not familiar with it, here's the details: There's no one set place for it.  Residents of Hazlet just set up in their front yards and driveways.  Residents can have their address listed on the flyer by sending $5 to parks and rec.  But there's always a ton more yard sales than just the ones on the flyer. Here's my monthly Hazlet real estate market report, albeit two days early. Hazlet Townhip, New Jersey that is. In Hazlet there were only nine single family home MLS listings updated from "Active" to "Under Contract." The definition of Under Contract (also referred to as U/C) is that both buyer and seller have agreed on all major terms (contract price, financing, contingencies and closing date) and now they're working towards the closing table. What's to be done to ensure the Under Contract sale is officially closed?Schedule the home inspections, which may include submerged oil tanks, mold, radon, UREA, well, septic and water. Fleetwood Park is a development in Hazlet which is East of Rt. 35 and West of Rt. 36.There were seven houses that sold in Fleetwood Park in 2006 and YTD there were three houses that SOLD and closed.
