This  Copake NY barn was so close to the road, so I had to wonder which came first, The barn or road?  In the rural area of NY you never know what you will run into.  This barn along with the interesting cloud cover was just one of the scenes I encountered during my short adventure on Saturday. I can really understand why many choose to get a second home in this area, yes you can really connect with nature.  Just the right setting to disconnect from all the tech gadgets so you can truly relax.  So what do you think?  Barn or Road? 08/26/2012

There are still many farms in the Hudson Valley.  So the Hudson Valley Food Lovers Festival in Copake Lake is an event to  partake of the local bounty and show your support for the local farmers. Make a full day of it.  As you can see from the schedule of events there will be all sorts of activities. At these events you will be able to talk with wine makers, brewers, chefs and farmers.  Best of all, most of the profit will go towards a Friends of the Farmer scholarship for someone majoring in Agricultural Science.
