     Ok Arrowhead Residents and Homeowners and potential future homeowners, this morning (Monday April 6) was the second monday in a row I found my self retrieving my trash can and cleaning up a mess of garbage strewn all over the place. I thought it must be a bear at first then my mind turned to the devious raccoons that I have battled wits with in the past and with the help a few COLD buckets of water was victorious in getting those sly garbage junkies to retreat in  a wet panic and hadn't returned since.      As I drove down the road to take Molly to the bus stop though I noticed one of the Very Big and Very Heavy Wooden Trash bins that hold the trash cans for most of the part timers was completely turned over and his trash spewed about in much the same manner as my own. My mortgage guy sent me this info.   Last week, Mr. Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which contains nearly $800 million in economic stimulus spending and tax relief designed to help individuals and businesses in the current economic climate. The following is a list of some of the major provisions of the new law without significant details which will follow as rules are issued. First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit         The tax credit is available for first-time home buyers only. The maximum credit amount is $7,500. The credit is available for homes purchased on or after April 9, 2008 and beforeJuly 1, 2009. Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full tax credit. Did you know? Federal Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency On October 3, 2008, President Bush signed into law the "Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008." This bill extended tax credits for energy efficient home improvements (windows, doors, roofs, insulation, HVAC, and non-solar water heaters). Tax credits for these residential products, which had expired at the end of 2007, will now be available for improvements made during 2009. However, improvements made during 2008 are not eligible for a tax credit. The bill also extended tax credits for solar energy systems and fuel cells to 2016. New tax credits were established for small wind energy systems and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Hello World,        As the month of January comes crawling to a merciful end, signs of spring, although very faint give a reason for hope and optimism that "GREEN" is just around the corner. Listening to the chickadees in the morning and watching how playful and active they still are in the sub freezing temperatures is enough to give the biggest winter wimp a mountain of hope.
