Georgetown County, South Carolina, is temporarily stopping the use of Mosquito Magician, a natural mosquito spray made with essential oils. The county was using the spray as part of its mosquito control program, but it was recently notified by the Clemson Pesticide Regulatory Division that the spray is not approved for use in ULV spraying. ULV spraying is a method of spraying pesticides that uses a very fine mist, which is more effective at controlling mosquitoes than traditional methods.The county is currently working with Mosquito Magician to get the spray approved for ULV spraying.
