I have clients every week, buyers AND sellers, who ask me who they can call to remodel and update their home. I find it challenging to recommend contractors these days because, while they may have done a good job for me, I would hate for one of my valuable clients to hire them, and not be happy with their work. Therefore, I always give them at least 3 names and then this "Guide to Hiring a Contractor."  I did my own due diligence when I upgraded my home and I would always recommend my clients do theirs. My job as a REALTOR is to advise my clients, and that's how I handle referring vendors as well.
