My husband and I took a beautiful drive thru Oklahoma recently known as the Talimena Pass. We were coming back from OKC to Dallas and took a few days more the longway going I40 east ! We really needed some R&R. We spent the night in a Motel 6 in Fort Smith Arkansas (that was a bad idea, another story!) and headed south early in the morning. We entered "the pass" in the midway point allowing us to experience about 25 miles of it. The pass is actually about 50 miles long. It was really breathtaking. We plan on going back this fall when the colors are red and orange! (and according to my husband on a motorcycle, we'll see! )
