“It’s just another day…”  Those are words from a Beetle’s song and sometimes I approach life that way.  Yesterday I did a magic show for a large group.  I have done hundreds of shows.  It was a good show but was it my best or was it just another show?  It is never just another day (or show, or event, or picnic).  It is always another fresh opportunity.____________________I am resolved to be my best and do my best.My next business transaction will be the best for me and my client. My next talk will be the best. The next class I teach or take will be the best.I will put all my effort and focus onto everything that I do.When I practice music..I will practice my best.My next vacation will be the best…My next TV show will be the best. This Daily affirmation is the best that I can do.I will focu...

For those of us who have lived or are living a while, as part of the life experience, you learn things, know things & also discover things you do not know. For those just starting out, youth, inexperience & naiveness will protect you until you can grasp the part you play & the part you don't play. Each are equally important & unique to us allMy favorite guy...you got one too!OUR PASTFascinating as we are living the past life in that moment, we do not pay much attention in the now that what we do or not will become our past in the future. The present moment doesn't want to share the "in the now" with anything. It wants all the now for itself as it should too! WHAT WE WILL SEEOur own private custom movie of which we are always having the starring role unless we don't participate, lay-low,...

Miami-Dade Florida: Things To Avoid After Applying for a Mortgage Some Highlights There are a few key things you’ll want to avoid after applying for a mortgage to make sure you’re in the best position when you get to the closing table. Don’t change bank accounts, apply for new credit, make any large purchases or transfers, and don’t co-sign loans for anyone. Here’s a good rule of thumb. Always connect with your loan officer before making any financial decisions once you’ve started the mortgage process.  #RealEstateMiami #MiamiShoresRealEstate #RealEstateMiamiShores #MiamiShoresRealEstate #RealEstateSouthFlorida #MiamiShores #MiamiRealEstate #RealEstate #Realtor #houseexpert #househunting #home #RealEstateAgent #RealEstateBroker #RealEstateExpert #RealEstateForSale #Realty #Broker #HomeF...

These were written in 2006.Today is St. Patrick Day and everybody is Irish… that really is the Truth.  Beneath it all we are all Irish, and Jewish, and Mexican, and Iranian.  I look at people and see the same; not different.  Gandhi was correct when he said: I am a Hindu, a Muslim, a Christian, and a Jew.”________________________I see two groups of people:  good and bad.  I avoid the bad…Today I take a vacation from worry and count my blessings.Noah was lucky; he had a boat.  But Dr. Martin Luther King was luckier; he had a dream.Perhaps my problems are to measure my greatness.I like Winston Churchill’s famous speech, “Never give up.  Never.  Never.  Never. Do you ever wonder who is reading your words of wit and wisdom?  Every time I see the Active Rain e-mail that says in the header: "You just received click #50 on..."   I wonder...who is clicking? The email starts out: "It looks like some people like what you have to say..."Do you wonder?  Yeah...me too!  Who are these 50+ clickers? Do they even read the blog or just the first paragraph?I mean...when they leave a comment it is obvious that you or they stopped by.Because I don't have tons of time to goof off...I decided to take an hour or two of valuable work time and see who stopped by my blogs during the month of June and left a comment.I know some of you leave a response to almost every comment...but I generally leave a group response.I know...I know...AR suggests leaving one for each c...

Working Your Way Out Of A Real Estate SlumpIt's like real estate world 2024 told real estate world 2023 to "hold my beer". With high rates, limited inventory, and crazy inflation this market has delivered a left hook to most agents' game plan. Let's examine some ways to get back on track. 1) Do a Mid year review--How many deals have you closed in 2024? What was the source of each? How does this volume compare to last year? If the total is LESS Than 2023 and a mere shadow of 2022 keep reading!2)Turn off the news-- negative events and conflict capture readers. While world events are troubling, what can you actually do to meaningfully change things? Absolutely nothing, want to change the world? Start with what is right in front of you! 3) Avoid negative people-- Misery LOVES company. Has m...

The above photo was taken this evening about 9:12 pm CDT about a mile from our home north of Kearney as I was out test driving my wife's Jeep that has been riding like a lumber wagon.  Turns out the new tires had 44 pounds of pressure in them...way to much. Lowered to 36 and much smoother.Another beautiful Nebraska Sunset!.................................................................................We have had one of the worst years in a long time for storms and wind and hail in the general area and some fields have caught the brunt of the storms. We also have had the most rain over the past 10 weeks in Central Nebraska as any time I can ever remember.  On one hand that is great for pastures and lakes and streams...but hard on crops if they get too much water.  Wind is hard on crops a...

This was a test just to see if I could still post a video on Active Rain. Fun, appropriate showmanship (showpeopleship?) can really sparkle sales. Getting any customer or buyer to laugh is worth everything.I became a magician as the result of teaching a sales class. The class was studying showmanship and I thought correctly that a magic trick would be an excellent tool for showmanship. The local magic store helped me out and I started with the simplest and the easiest to learn tricks. Pretty much every close up magic trick can be used for sales.Youtbe.com/salesmagicsuccess

“I left it to circumstances to guide me.”  This quote comes from Dr. Albert Schweitzer from his book Out of my life and thought.  Dr Schweitzer is considered one of the greatest people of the 20th Century.  Sometimes it is best to make decisions by letting the circumstances guide us; trust life.  ______________________Today I am creative and open to opportunities.  I trust.I focus on the job at hand and do it well.I accomplish much because I do one thing at a time.I accept my creativity and ‘difficult’ tasks become easy.I push the “Easy Button” of life…I receive affection and kindness in abundance. My energy exerts itself with calmness and deliberation.I look forward to the future and live with hope and optimism.I am easy to communicate with and I communicate with ease.I appreciate every...

I have heard the expression, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  When we think about it, we realize the truth of the statement. None of us can raise ourselves and really none of us is self-sufficient.  We can be independent but at the same time we need to be inter-dependent._________________Today I have the courage to ask for help.I have goals and will ask for help in all my goals.I will honor the experts and teachers and pay them for their help and expertise.I will ask my friends to help keep me focused.I will tell those around me my dreams and ask for assistance.I will be aware of the needs of others and become a helper to them.I ask for help.  I receive help and I will give help.I will thank and honor those who help me.  I will praise them.I cannot reach my goals without the help...

One day, I paid attention to a wolve howling at the moon & instead of focusing on the howling, I wondered if the wolf was speaking wolf talk? What was he conveying to himself, others & ???. Now take this concept & apply it to just about any living creature especially human beings. Is the speaker (noise maker) lacking in communication skills or is the listener not trusting the message behind the words. If there is a meaning there, we must go there to get it. NOTE: it is not so much what is being said but what is meant. Let's get to meanthey you...me?       yes you! TEST THISHave you ever met someone that doesn't speak English? Kinda obvious that the speaker is not clear, yet we can communicate quite a bit with hand gestures, nodding of the head, smiles & pantomime too. Are we seeking som...

This cartoon strip is a little out of sync with our current weather. I just heard about 120 degree weather in several States on the news. But Titus and Philemon are offering a different kind of warmth, the warmth we all desire from others (and pets). The world can seem like a very cold place at times. Regretfully every day people feel abandoned and take their own lives. Even more regretfully some of those same people feel they need to take someone else's life with them as in suicided by police confrontation.I've blogged about this topic a few times as it's close to home. I've met a couple of people who exhibited suicide tendencies before and felt terrible that I did not pick up on it until they did end their lives. In those cases it was someone I just met who seemed desperate to make me ...
