As a community bank, we’re committed to public service and we’ve made it our business to be on top of and involved in what is happening locally. It’s a tradition that employees of Peoples Bank have embraced for over 100 years.

Everyday we put our customers first by delivering You First Banking. With the same dedication, we put our communities first by finding creative ways to help support the many organizations that approach us for assistance.

In addition to volunteering, Peoples Bank supports a wide variety of community activities through in-kind contributions and financial support. In 2015, we provided assistance to over 150 community groups for projects supporting youth activities, housing, health care, education, and the arts - just to name a few. Community First, the Bank’s employee charitable and social committee, is in its 22nd year of fundraising. In 2015, through generous employee donations and matching funds from the Bank, Community First distributed nearly $36,000 to benefit organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana and Porter, Haven House, Legacy Foundation, Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, Cancer Resource Center, Honor Flight and Opportunity Enterprises. The dollars were raised internally, reflecting the commitment of Peoples Bank employees to dig deep and make a dedicated effort to improve the quality of life in the communities in which we work and live.
