I've been buying and selling real estate, for myself, for over 20 years, and I STILL find the process EXHILARATING! It's a BIG deal to own your own home, and searching for the right one should be a thoughtful and joyful adventure - I aim to make it so!
Personally, I enjoy breathing new life into an older home - it's gratifying to see, and have a hand in, such a transformation. Not necessarily a high-dollar project. Often, much of the effort is cosmetic, and requires some vision and some elbow grease more than anything else. (Rule of thumb - if your not having at least SOME fun, your doing it WRONG!)
SO, when not house hunting for my sake, I enjoy living vicariously thru my clients, and sharing in the prospect and excitement of their search.
For leisure, when not puttering around the house, I enjoy the company of family and friends, long walks with my dogs, music of many genres (and tinkering with the piano and the violin - not quite ready for public performance yet...), and, as time and funds permit, seeing the world. Yes, life is good, and I am thankful

When performing as a Buyer's agent, I'm less the sales person, and much more the facilitator. The most important thing I do is LISTEN. I want to be crystal clear on your priorities. I also will ask questions regularly, because it often happens priorities adjust as new information (and new options) enter the picture, and I want to keep up! It often happens a buyer may happily choose to purchase a home very different from their initial idea.
When performing as a Seller's agent, it's all about PRESENTATION, PRICING, and BROADCASTING. Accentuate the positives, and eliminate or minimize the negatives (if any). Price it as the market dictates, then make sure the WHOLE WORLD knows about it! All kidding aside, the Internet makes that possible, and Weichert, Realtors leads the way in it's web reach and lead capture strategies.
CNN can't help you with their national housing start averages, or dramatic stats on distant condo markets. REAL ESTATE is LOCAL!
