Susan is in her 17th year of helping clients buy and sell real estate in and around Lawrence and Douglas County, Kansas. Susan has lived here for over 41 years. She attended Baker University in Baldwin City, Ks. Susan believes in continuing education and has invested her time and money into completeing many of the real estate designation courses, including CRS, ABR, GRI, and e-PRO.
Prior to getting her real estate license, Susan spent over 16 years in public service. This service placed her in positions daily where she needed to make serious and quick decisions. This training provided Susan the incredible ability to find solutions to a vast array of problems. This problem resolution experience is very useful in the real estate world. Susan has handled numerous situations and brought each of them to a positive conclusion. Susan has the acumem needed in the business and is one of the most experienced negotiators in her field.
Susan makes it a priority to maintain a good working relationships with her fellow agents. Susan's peers elected her to be their 2014 President of the Lawrence Board of Realtors and their REALTOR of the Year in 2019.
Susan also believes in giving back to her community. Susan led the charge to organize the first annual Lawrence Board of Realtors Charity Classic Golf Tournament that has raised several thousand dollars since 2014. Susan then led her board in creating the annual Texas Hold'em Tournament that also has raised thousands for the local charities since 2019. Those charitable events continue to raise funds that are used to positively impact disadvantaged families in Lawrence and Douglas County.
Lastly, Susan believes in the elemental value of showing respect to others. When asked about their experience working with Susan, many of her clients point to her sincere regard for their needs, and her natural ability to really listen to them, leading to her sucess in getting the job done right. Susan has worked hard over the past 17 years to build a reputation with her clients as being a trustworthy and knowledgable Realtor. Susan believes very stongly in continuing education and has earned several prestigious awards. Susan currently holds the Accredited Buyer Representative Certification (ABR), www.rebac.com, the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) www.crs.com, and the Graduate of Realtor Institute Certification(GRI), www.realtor.org. Only 3% of all licensed Realtors in America hold the CRS designation. With approximately 1.4 million Realtors who are current memebers of the National Association of Realtors the number of CRS members stands around 42,000 or 3 out of every 100. Get serious, get a CRS!
