I have been a Realtor for twelve years in the Pickens County area. My focus is on buyers and sellers in the Pickens, East Dawson, North Cherokee and South Gilmer areas. I also serve the Communities of Big Canoe and Bent Tree; residing in Bent Tree. I am also licensed in Tennessee.An accredited Buyer's agent as well as a top listing agent, I emphasize frequent communication with my seller and Buyer clients, getting feedback from agents who show the property and letting my sellers know what I am doing to get their property SOLD and help the seller all the way to the closing table. As a Buyer's agent, I keep my clients informed of all property coming onto the market which meets their needs, be available to show property and help with the entire buying process all the way to the closing table. I am a residential specialist with experience in land, lots and some commercial as well. I reside in Pickens County with my husband and all of our pets which are all rescue animals. We volunteer with an organization that is dear to our hearts, Pickens Animal Rescue (PAR). I achieved my Broker license in 2005, and complete at least three continuing education courses each year. At the moment I am working on the e-pro designation. I believe in giving back and making things better. I work with both Buyers and Sellers. With thirteen years experience in the Real Estate business in this area and now expanding into East Tennessee, a buyer or seller can have confidence they are working with a knowledgable agent when working with me. I am active in my local board of Realtors having been President in 2007, previously Vice President, Treasurer and Director on the board for seven of the last nine years. My membership and active status with my board allows me to network with my fellow agents from all over the area, promote my listings directly and find homes through them as well as through the MLS. I believe in face to face networking and online.
I enjoy working with first time buyers, not to exclude the more experienced buyer but I find it particularly rewarding to sell a home to a first time purchaser. I feel an special responsibility in helping the first time buyer to work our way through the homebuying process and find a good value in their first home.
Land is an real estate segment of which I have special knowlege after being fortunate enough to have had a very special mentor during my first year in Real Estate who helped me to learn all about the aspects of selling land including, finding boundries, attaining surveys, walking a piece of land and the importance of knowing the land, knowing the approvals needed for development or building and knowing how to get them. I am an accredited Buyer agent and understand what it means to truly represent any buyer at any price level. All buyers deserve to be represented properly not to just be treated as a means to a closing and a check for the agent.
I am one of the top listing agents in the area. Always looking for new and better ways to market a home or land and get it sold for top dollar in the fastest of time. If a seller has missed a payment on their mortgage I can help with that possibly as I am a Certified Loss mitigation specialist, meaning I have taken a certified course to assist a seller in working with their lender to short sale the home. This process takes patience and time. I am willing to give both to work with those Seller's with special requirements.
