Casey was born on June 11, 1985 to Bruce & Joy Cavell in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  The Cavell’s made their home in the quiet town of North Webster, Indiana.  It was here that Casey developed a love for the game of baseball.  An All-State scholar athlete at Fort Wayne’s Concordia Lutheran High School, Casey learned the values of hard work, discipline, and teamwork that he still incorporates into his business practices today.  After playing baseball for 2 years at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana; Casey transferred to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana to focus on a business management degree.  At the age of 22 Casey purchased a poorly managed apartment complex to begin his real estate career.  About this same time Casey began a mentorship under leading self storage expert Scott Meyers.  In March of 2009 Casey made his first self storage purchase by obtaining a facility in Danville, Illinois.   He renamed the facility Always Open Storage and vastly revamped the management and property.  Occupancy rates rose from 65% at the time of his purchase to 95% after the first year, adding $250,000 in value to his property.  In early 2010 Casey completed the acquisition of his second self storage property in Covington, Georgia.  He amazingly negotiated this deal for no money down and no payments for the first 18 months!  Currently he has seen occupancy rates rise 20% since the deal was completed and he now has significant equity.
