I don't write long posts - I do however write articles which I have found much more effectibve

Good morning Lise. Well done! I don't write long blogs, I would rather post many than focus and putting a lot of content in any one. Would say I average $250 words.
I do not do long posts. My first blog posts were very long, Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland called me and suggested to break it in a few. I still use her advice:)
I think long tail has to do more with titles and keywords than length of the post. So I'm not sure I fully understand what you're asking

Lise Howe - I can't go above 500 words....longest, I think was close to 1000 words only.

I do a few neighborhood market reports every month, and do get calls off the long tail neighborhood names. Congrats!
My "What is my _____ home worth? <DATE>" posts are the longest ones I've written.
Back in the early days the phone would ring 2 or 3 times a month with those who found us in the 'Rain - these days - not so much....
long tail refers to keywords that the bots find and index.... the length of my posts range from 300 to 450.....
I have no idea.
I have not written long posts.
No idea and no time to look back and research.
I had same reaction as Tammy, so a bit confused. But, in this article I wrote yesterday, I shared my top 4 articles that each have over 100,000 clicks. And, they are all FAQ's that are long tail. The article also has some advice on getting posts to rank well.
Oh, and I have closed MANY jobs as a result. Too many to count.
