I think I'd feel like a factory worker if I did that. I know what I aim to accomplish each year and I know what I need to focus on each day to make it happen. I don't stress out about it.

I have a daily to do list that I swear by and have implemented the 12 week year approach (by Brian P. Moran & Michael Lennington) to help hit my annual goals. Why?? To keep me focused on the "Big Why".
I don't... it's one reason I didn't return to the corporate world after I retired from it after almost 20 years in 1989. I put one foot in front of the other each day to do what needs be done and voila! business happens!

I know what I want to do, and don't stop until it gets close, or can surpass it.
I use a 90/7/1 rule. I plan quareterly because yearly is a guess and an expectation and for most, metric based. I do weekly reviews, and my wife and partner and I do daily morning sessions as well as input daily into QuickBooks.

Mostly annual goals. It's tough to set shorter ones in this business.
Just a To Do list.
