If the powers to be truly understood our business, this idea of a new licensee serving a 1 year apprenticeship would be a national law.   This idea takes the "mentor" idea to a whole new level.   While customs , rules and even laws vary from state to state,  this policy would ultimately  create more happy clients, more successful agents and would even likely cut down on future E&O claims. Simply put, the licensing class in each State is NOT enough to ensure that new agents have the ability to properly help buyers and sellers.Additionally, it would create better experiences for all involved, including co-op agents and their clients. This idea is long overdue, and minimally should be adopted on a State level.   How would this be policed or verified?  That sounds like a blog for another da... 04/25/2024

Thankful Thursdays…for Family When Larry and I decided to return to Houston after 30+ years off and on in FL, it was because of family. It was time.  This hit home with me this week when I attended the funeral Mass for my sister-in-law’s mother. Mrs. A was a kind and loving woman. She had a deep faith that she passed on to her family. She always wore a smile…asked for nothing…and loved her family. Larry made little rolls just for her because she loved small sandwiches.  Mrs. A has a large family…children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and more. But I also saw other “family”...those who while not related by blood become woven into the fabric of family.  My brother’s band members, sisters-in-law, neighbors, my cousins and Larry and me…we’re all interwoven in... 04/25/2024
