The Town of Wickenburg is becoming more of a "Western" attraction for people who want to escape the hustle and bustle of Phoenix and enjoy the slightly cooler temperatures of Wickenburg. In the past year there have been some significant improvements to the downtown area. As visitors stroll through the downtown area, they can enjoy the 8 large western historic sculptures and the 16 small ones that were recently donated to The Town. Each of these has a short narrative explaining some of the history of Wickenburg. In addition, with the completion of the Bypass, and the new "Traffic Calmers" which are islands with trees and colorful bushes and plants, the downtown area is becoming a more desirable place to visit.
