What Type of Deed Should You Get When You Buy Your Colorado Home? When you go over your contract to buy property with your real estate agent, you will see what type of deed you are asking the seller to provide. The latest news from Fidelity National Title Company says there are six types of deeds used on Colorado real estate purchases.The type of deed doesn't transfer any more or less ownership interest in the property. Helping Those in Need...Food Drive in Cedaredge, Colorado. The number of families needing help is growing in the Surface Creek Valley of Delta County. On Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 volunteers for the Surface Creek Community Services Food Bank will be holding a food drive. Volunteers will be at Cedaredge Food Town ( the local grocery store ) Saturday, March 23rd from 9am to 4pm. They will be collecting cash and non perishable food items. Any donation is appreciated, but I know from my personal experience of volunteering with food banks, that the food bank can make cash donations go really far because of they buy in bulk. Did They Ever Name That Horse...America In Concert Grand Junction, CO. Remember the 1970s song, "Horse with No Name"? America, the band that did that song, is still touring. This year is the 40th Anniversary Tour. Can you believe it's been 40 years? I was still in diapers when this first hit came out. No...They never did name that horse. Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley talked a lot about the band's earlier years together. What's really neat is that these two have been together since they were teenagers playing in a garage band. Through the 60s, 70s and on up into the new millennium, Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley have stayed together and still love touring. It Feels Like Spring is Here, and I Can't Get this Song out of My Head. We had snow off and on throughout the weekend, but for the last couple of days the weather has been BEAUTIFUL. Temperatures have been up in the high 50s and you can see the willow trees starting to green up. Some of you may remember this song from the mid 1980's.   This singer's enthusiasm, great voice and smile will certainly get you in a great mood today. This song is called...Walking on Sunshine. This Isn't Just For The Birds...Ron's Rustic Birdhouses Does it Again. I've been taken with Ron's Rustic Birdhouses for same time. He comes up with the greatest scenes all centered around a birdhouse. His creations are more than birdhouses, they are works of art. I contacted him about a month ago to do a custom birdhouse for me. My broker's birthday was coming up, and I wanted all of us in the office to get him something special. Ron's Rustic Birdhouses came to the rescue. Cedaredge High School Girls Tennis Is Looking Forward To A Great Season. The Cedaredge Girl's Tennis Team is in full swing and ready to volley hard and hit em deep. Practice started this week, and the first match is Monday, March 11th, 2013.   Last year the team sent two players on to state. That was a big thrill for Cedaredge High School. It's the kind you watch until it's done.   This picture was taken just outside of Cedaredge, CO on February 26th, 2013. This was taken from the top of Cedar Mesa. The weather was unsettled all day, and by the time evening came around the clouds were ready to move out and make way for some sunshine.   Cedar Mesa is just one of the areas outside of Cedaredge, CO. The views are amazing, and there is a lot of wildlife. Even from the furthest point on Cedar Mesa you are still, at most, 15 minutes away from the center of Cedaredge. Foto Friday...A Close Up and Far Away Perspective, Cedaredge, CO. Bald eagles are one of my favorite birds. This pair spends the winter in the area around my home. I'm glad they call this their winter residence.     The alpine glow was on the mountains and reflecting in the clouds. I missed the mountain shot, because I was focusing on the eagles. These birds mate for life. You can see the female is smaller than the male.                   For some reason, I took the long way home. Now I'm glad I did.
