Challenges Make Us Stronger Sometimes, it may seem like the end is no where in sight.  Remember, slow but steady. Yes, it is human nature to want to stop.  To say you can't do it.  But, if you will push yourself you might be suprised at what you are capable of doing.                                                                                                                                                                                                       And, sooner or later, you'll reach the top.                          You will be tired.  You will be weary.  You will NOT be ready to do it again.  At least not right of way. Once you've accomplished what you set out to do, then you can start dreaming of what will be in store next. "Even youths grow tired and wary and young men s...

The idea of developing a database for a home stager can be a scary proposition for many people. But don’t be intimidated by the thought of starting from scratch for your customer database. There are a few important things that you need to remember when developing your system and before you know it, it will be up and running. The first thing is to choose a database program or supplier that suits your needs. There are a wide variety of programs available on the market, ranging in price and sophistication. Balance your needs with your budget and be careful not to choose a program that doesn’t offer you enough. And likewise, be careful that you don’t pick a database that offers far more than you need or you’ll be wasting your money and overwhelming yourself.Once you have the program, you nee...

Congratulations to the people who did the PIKE'S PEAK ASCENT mountain trail race at Manitou Springs, Colorado, this past Saturday, August 21, and to others who did the PIKE'S PEAK MOUNTAIN MARATHON trail race (up and down) the next day on Sunday, August 22. Some of my unforgettable experiences from running an racing days are from my involvement in the Pike's Peak Mountain Ascent and marathon in prior years. I wasn't in Colorado this year for this and probably won't run it again, and I pay tribute to the people who started and finished these two grueling events, which are tests of attitude and character.  See Pike's Peak Marathon official site - click here.  - 55th running of "America's Ultimate Challenge", and it looks like weather was good and races went well. The ASCENT (up to top) an...

Several weeks ago, my husband and I visited Manitou Springs for an overnight stay. We walked around town early the following morning and I discovered this interesting tile mural in the public restroom....interesting, don't you think?

Last weekend, my husband and I traveled to Colorado Springs to celebrate an early Valentine's Day. We stayed at the historic Cliff House, a lovely Victorian hotel nestled into the mountainside of Manitou Springs. We enjoyed an incredible dinner and got up early on Saturday to walk around town. Armed with my new camera, I took numerous photos inside and out. Inagine yourself sitting on the veranda, sipping your favorite beverage as you watch people walk by. Although I could have used a flash, I loved the natural lighting of the room. Just having fun....again, no flash The wonderful attention to detail was amazing....if you ever have a chance, be sure to stay here. The service was absolutely 5 Star, the food delicious and the rooms incredibly comfortable.

Manitou Springs, Colorado Did you know that Manitou Springs was ranked in the top 10 small cities to live in by Budget Travel. Nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs is a historical town with wonderful attractions like the Haunted Briar Hurst Manner--seen on Ghost Hunters in 2009,( I got married there this year, YIKES! ) and the well known restaurant "The Cliff House". For adventure there are "The Cliff Dwellings"--caves that run deep into the mountains, with hanging stalagmites, narrow passage ways and incredible views from the entrance ways, into the caves. For hiking, you can also visit the Old Cog Rail Road, now a hiking patch of old rail road ties that extends up the mountain for one mile and climbs 2000 feet. Only the fit need apply for that hike. You can then run down...
