*REO's, Repo's, or Forclosures are another area of my expertise. Commonly REO(real estate owned) properties are open to offers or priced to sell. Foreclosures are dominating my marketplace and most communities in the US. Investors are gravitating away from the stock market to take advantage of the terrific discounts that banks are taking to liquidate their troubled assets. Investors are finding the low interest rates allow better cash flow, so they can take advantage of strong rental demands. I have successfully assisted several individuals and investors in the purchase of REO properties.
First time buyers are also jumping on the attractive prices that banks are accepting. Now, first time buyers can afford to purchase an REO home. The tax stimulus for first time buyers will start to reduce the foreclosure inventory. This is the time to take full advantage of this unprecedented opportunity.
A real estate tranaction involving an REO property may take two or three times longer to close than a private owned property. No two deals are the same. Complex paper work does not even begin to describe some of the obstacles that can occur. Over the years, I have purchased many forclosures for myself. You must be patient.
