My name is Kim Hinson. I have lived in Henderson Co. all of my life. I have a genuine concern for the people of this community. At First State Bank our MISSION STATEMENT is "Striving to Exceed Expectations" I am proud to be apart of this team.

We offer FHA, VA, USDA, THDA and conventional lending. I spend my time educating potential buyers, to become qualified customers. First time home buyers achieving their dream, is my ultimate goal. It is not about putting a person into a place that they can not afford; but about putting a family in a home that meets their budget, so that one day they come back to you for more business or refer their family, friends, and neighbors to you so they can get the same great service. Remember this, By following the Golden Rule you start a trend that continues on and eventually comes all the way back around to you. And that is a great feeling!

 ·  Honesty - this is first and foremost on my list. I think all loan officers should possess and use this quality.  By being honest you gain trust from your customer and will gain future business because they can depend on you and they will share your  quality  with everyone they know.

·  Customer Service -this is a necessity of  being a great loan officer. You can close 15 loans a month and if you do not handle your customers with the best in service, you will never get repeat business. This goes hand in hand with honesty.

·  Listening skills - This one  is very simple, if you do not listen to your customer, how do you know what their needs are?

·  Follow-up skills - In my 15+ years of customer service, this will never change. When you tell a customer that you will call them back in a timely manner, then do it. And this does not just stop with the customer. If you are dealing with an issue for a customer, then don't allow that issue to fall to the wayside because of neglect. Do not expect what you do not inspect.

·  Product Knowledge - Keep yourself updated on the latest products. If you do not know then research the issue and get back with them asap. This business changes daily and you must be able to adapt'

·  Time Management - Today's technology is great in assisting with this one. If you are not making a plan, you are planning to fail.
